# Coworking spaces

We know that building communities of remote workers outside of coworking spaces, can help them. Where possible, they're brilliant locations to host meetups and events.

Local chapters are credited with filling 4 seats in the Castlebar coworking space, and 3 in The Junction, Tullamore! But there are lots of other ways we can support.

Here, [Enda Regan](https://www.linkedin.com/in/enda-regan-8003345a/), team lead at Kit Ireland (a Shopify company), hosted 'work from a space' day at the The Spool Factory Chapter in Boyle, Roscommon.

As with all great chapter projects, this was spotted and iterated on by the Carrick on Shannon chapter lead by [Colm Keane](https://www.linkedin.com/in/colm-keane-23212516/) who runs The Hive Coworking space.

Colm [built a page on their website](https://the-hive.ie/grow-remote) to raise awareness about Grow Remote and remote working. And ran a 'pop up office' event offering local remote workers free office space for the day:
